Unlocking Human Potential Through Counseling and Equine-Assisted Services
The path to healing is rarely a linear ascent; rather, it is a process of unraveling the conditioned layers that obscure our most authentic selves. EMBARK's therapeutic philosophy is grounded in the belief that every individual possesses an innate, individualized wisdom, that too often becomes clouded by life’s complexities, systemic pressures, and the echoes of trauma.
Our roles as clinicians and facilitators is to walk alongside you as a partner, helping you rediscover your own capacity for profound growth and alignment.
🔎 The Search for Meaning: A Humanistic Approach 🔓
At the core of EMBARK's practice is an Existential-Humanistic framework. We believe that the heartbeat of the human experience is the fundamental need for meaning. Drawing on various modalities, we partner with you to navigate the pursuit of a purpose that resonates uniquely with who you are, even amidst life’s greatest challenges.
We are not singular, isolated beings, but a complex sum of many parts. By exploring the interconnected nature of self and others, we can begin to understand how perceptions are formed and how certain behaviors develop as necessary survival strategies. Our work together focuses on integrating these parts, shifting from a state of "conditioned personality" to one of conscious choice.
🧩 Somatic Wisdom & The Nervous System 🗝️
Because the body often holds stories the mind is not yet ready to speak, we integrate somatic experience to tap into your body's innate wisdom. Central to this work is Polyvagal Theory, which helps us understand how our autonomic nervous system constantly scans for cues of safety or danger.
Whether navigating acute PTSD, developmental trauma, or the persistent impact of stress, anxiety, and depression we recognize that symptoms are often the nervous system’s way of seeking safety. Using the "body as a tuner," we work to expand your "window of tolerance," shifting out of survival modes like fight, flight, or freeze and back into a state of social engagement, self-discovery, and resilience.
🤍 Specialized Grief & Loss Work 🫂
Grief is not a problem to be solved or a task to be completed; it is a profound internal landscape that requires patience and integration. EMBARK specializes in supporting individuals through the complexities of loss, moving beyond the intellectual "stages of grief" and into a process of embodiment. Together, we create a space to step into your loss, allowing the body to untie the knots of sorrow that words alone cannot reach.
💻 Telehealth Therapy
EMBARK offers clinical counseling via a secure telehealth platform, allowing us to do the deep work of meaning-making and trauma processing from the comfort and safety of your own space.
🐴 Our Offerings Partnering with the Herd ✨
Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)
We partner with horses as co-facilitators to bridge the gap between cognitive insight and somatic experience. Horses, as highly sensitive animals, are masters of responding to our physiological states, offering immediate feedback on our internal "weather." This transforms therapy into an active practice of nervous system regulation, authentic connection, and relational growth
Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) Workshops-Discover the Wisdom of the Herd
EMBARK LLC’s equine-assisted learning workshops offer a beautiful, supportive space to explore self-awareness while surrounded by the grounding presence of our herd. Participants frequently share that these experiences provide practical tools for daily life, leaving them feeling simultaneously energized and deeply peaceful.
Horses truly are masterful teachers. Come join us for an impactful workshop and walk away with your own meaningful lessons from the herd.
